The walls of Dan Cavanagh's bedroom were painted with the thoughts and ramblings of friends and visitors from around the world. The room was one giant canvas covered with bits and pieces of all our lives. They have been painted over now, but their significance will live on in all those who were lucky enough to make their mark. Check out more photos online.
These are some of the women I photographed for a breast cancer awareness campaign that Komen Nebraska is doing throughout the state. As I listened to their stories and got to know each of them, I was amazed at how strong these women are and how their perspective on life remains positive. I feel fortunate to have worked on this project and to be given the opportunity to meet them.
