Jun Kaneko's new work rises up from the ground

With a new kiln being built on site, Jun Kaneko has begun production of some of his largest works yet.  When finished, the four heads and six dongos will stand 11 feet tall.  Here is a peak at some images shot during the build.

Frosted morning near the Platte River

With lots of moisture in the air and temperatures hovering around freezing, everything became covered in a delicate coat of frost over night.  I just happened to be out with my camera and found myself in the middle of this winter wonderland.

Omaha's creative juice box - the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts

With all of their studio renovations complete, the Bemis Artist-in-Residence Program is booming.  If you haven't had a chance to meet any of the current residents you better hurry.  The next group is on their way.
